Garden Cartoons-Worm Composting Red Wigglers

Worm Composting Red Wigglers??  I found these cute pages that are like garden cartoons about worm composting with red wigglers from the University of Illinois Extension.  These are great garden comics that will help kids when it comes to worm composting.  Here is a picture of red wigglers with some cucumber skins that are half eaten.  Red wigglers are smaller than night-crawlers.

Great Way to Learn About Worm Composting Red Wigglers

These garden cartoons teach all about vermicomposting and worms with a cute cartoon worm character–Squirmin Herman the Worm. This is a very educational and fun site for kids and adults.  Check out Herman’s fun place for games and more fun.  Click on worm composting to learn more about how to compost with worms.

Vermicomposting for Home Schools and Classroom Projects

It is a great science experiment to worm compost for home schools and in classrooms.  Kids really get into worms and what better way to teach biology and all about composting which is in essence recycling.  I prepared an educational Power Point all about worms and worm composting that I made into a video.  Another great educational experience for kids and learning.  Click below for this free worm composting Power Point video.
